HELPING AT LOCAL EVENTS & FUNDRAISERS- Help us communicate to our peers what Positive Ride is all about! Our main local event is our very own Wheelchair Wednesday that occurs on the last Wednesday of every month. We also try to be at as many local events as possible, these may include the Pismo Car Show, the Clam Festival, SLO Farmers Market, etc. We will begin our fundraising efforts this year and plan on putting together some fun events for our volunteers, donors and clients!

COMMUNITY OUTREACH - This may include passing out flyers and business cards to friends and family, to your local community while going about your day, or you may be asked to go to a specific location on a specific day during an event or busy holiday to get the word out about Positive Ride.

FREEDOM TRAX ATTENDANT - Help people with disabilities learn how to use the Freedom Trax and show them how to navigate it on their scheduled Adaptive Hiking Excursions! Spend your day hiking the Pismo Preserve or walking one of our local beaches while chatting with clients! This is a fun volunteer job if you enjoy the outdoors and enjoy socializing one on one.

WORKSHOP LEADER or WORKSHOP ASSISTANT - If you have an idea for a workshop, to help people with disabilities learn new things, navigate the healthcare system or learn about proper nutrition, let us know! We are in the works to put together workshops to bring the community together and educate everyone!

HELPING AT OUT-OF-TOWN EVENTS - Sometimes Positive Ride goes to events that are outside of San Luis Obispo County to spread the word of what we do. These events can include concerts, ability expos, and educational seminars or workshops.

GRANT & BLOG WRITING - Help us fund our nonprofit by helping us write Grant applications! We also are looking for people who enjoy writing blogs, to help us create fun and interesting blog/discussion board posts!
