POSITIVE RIDE MISSON

Our mission is to create handicap accessible vacation opportunities on the beautiful Central Coast of California.

OUR MISSION

The mission of Positive Ride is to offer adaptive adventures to people with disabilities. Getting them access to beaches, trails, and other venues on the Central Coast and San Luis Obispo County. We want to get people with mobility issues outdoors and off the pavement by creating adaptive recreational experiences. Using Freedom Trax a device that quickly and temporarily converts a manual wheelchair into a battery-powered, all-terrain vehicle that can easily traverse a variety of different terrains from sand to grass, gravel and more.

We’re currently raising funds from individuals, businesses and private foundations to purchase two or more Freedom Trax. Our goal is to have at least five Freedom Trax so that we can provide free and low-cost adventures to locals and visitors to the beautiful Central California Coast. We also plan to have our Freedom Trax available at local events such as festivals and concerts in places that are not usually accessible for wheelchair users.

We’ve found many SLO County destinations that are compatible with Freedom Trax and we’re always looking for more. So if you know of a beach or trail or park that might work, please let us know and we’ll check it out! We plan to match these Freedom Trax adventures to the preferences and abilities of each wheelchair user.

Positive Ride Freedom Trax adventures can be life changing for wheelchair users of all abilities and we’d love to have your input and support. Volunteers and donations are always welcome!
